Just you, fried chicken and a mirror
For Valentine’s Day 2020, discount dining membership tastecard hosted a PR event designed to spoil the most important person of all: you. Designed for single, coupled-up and “it’s complicated” guests, foodies were encouraged to dine solo and practice a bit of self-love at the pop-up TWO4ONE restaurant. Sitting opposite a fully-branded mirror decked with feel-good quotes, guests tucked into dishes from Absurd Bird. Once plates were licked clean, the mirror was removed to reveal a fellow solo-diner on the other side. The guests then had the option to go Dutch and split the bill two ways or for one diner to cover the full bill with a 2 for 1 discount thanks to tastecard.
I provided creative concepts and copy for the event collateral, including window stickers, menus, napkins, wall art and invites. TWO4ONE was the biggest PR event tastecard had held to date, so putting out a consistent, playful TOV was essential to elevate the brand, increase brand recognition and encourage press pick-up.
