School of Thought is a creative development programme designed to help creatives work on their ideas, pitching and portfolios. I was one of the 12 candidates chosen to take part in the 12 week programme back in 2018. And it was a complete blast.
Visiting a different creative agency every week, we’d be briefed on the Monday and be back presenting to creatives, directors and our fellow schoolies that Thursday to hear the good, bad and ugly about our ideas (including bullshit awards for the best ideas). From pet insurance to retro phones, the clients were varied and the concepts were endless. I learnt an incredible amount about pitching, conceptualising, and following your gut. And I’ve transferred each and every skill into my day to day creative goings on.
