Don’t just write it, handwrite it

Agency: Audio Always
Client: Pen Heaven
Product: Range of quality pens
Target Audience: Sentimental Storytellers
Proposition: They’ll never expect a handwritten letter

My concept: Don’t just write it, handwrite it.
It’s easy to pick up your phone, type out a message and copy and paste it to seven or eight different people. But there’s nothing personal about that. It could be from any Tom, Dick or Harry.

The art of a handwritten letter is so much more intimate, surprising and special. And it’s a much lovelier way to receive some big news.

Bullshit award: Best use of sound effects

Voiceover
Male VO: Neutral Southern accent, aged 30-40. Friendly, softly-spoken and calm. To be delivered in a short and snappy way for a witty tone.

Female VO 1: Geordie accent, aged 40-50. Chirpy, upbeat and friendly with a high-pitched tone, similar to Sarah Millican.

Female VO 2: Geordie accent, aged 40-50. Friendly and upbeat once again but a little lower in tone.

Sound effects
A mixture of sound effects related to text messaging and letter-writing, to help tell the story.

Where would it air?
Smooth and Heart radio and local radio stations, particularly around Christmas time, as more people have more to share or more of a want to share during the festive season.
